IG Metall warns Volkswagen: any retreat from restructuring deal will face fierce resistance

German trade union IG Metall has warned that any attempt by Volkswagen to walk back the previously agreed restructuring package will face strong resistance. The warning comes ahead of a key supervisory board meeting scheduled for later this week. The union stopped short of threatening strikes but made clear it will not back down.
