Torrential rains flood Grand Canyon, Phantom Ranch cabins submerged under 5 feet of water

Torrential downpours triggered severe flooding in the Grand Canyon, washing out popular hiking trails. The historic Phantom Ranch Lodge cabins were submerged under five feet of water. The extreme rainfall was the direct cause of the disaster at one of the US's most visited natural landmarks.
