Lavrov warns NATO of 'catastrophic consequences' over Arctic arms build-up

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared that NATO's military activities in the Arctic are "aggressive" and risk armed confrontation with "potentially catastrophic consequences". Moscow has been watching the growing Alliance presence in the far North with increasing alarm. Russia regards the Arctic as a zone of vital strategic interest.
