NIK audit finds flood crisis management failures at every government level in 2024
Poland's Supreme Audit Office (NIK) has found irregularities and negligence in flood crisis management at every level of government during the 2024 floods. The audit highlighted above all a failure to carry out preventive measures ahead of the flooding. Both central and local authorities were found to have neglected their responsibilities.
