Head of Orbán's Brussels thinktank quits over unpaid wages

Frank Furedi, sociology professor and executive director of MCC Brussels — Viktor Orbán's favoured Brussels thinktank — resigned with immediate effect on Monday. He cited the organisation's "persistent failure to provide the contractually agreed funds", with staff reportedly unpaid in July and August. Furedi linked the financial breakdown to the recent change of government in Hungary.
