Phil Schiller steps down as head of App Store and Apple events

Phil Schiller, a longtime Apple executive, is stepping down from his roles overseeing the App Store and Apple events, Bloomberg reports. He will retain his Apple Fellow title and continue working on unspecified initiatives. The news comes one day before hardware chief John Ternus is also set to depart.
