Poland's data watchdog acts on deepfake scams, to petition EU Commission

Poland's Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) has taken four steps in response to online scams using celebrities' likenesses without consent, including appealing to the European Commission for systemic action against deepfake fraud. InPost CEO Rafał Brzoska, who had written to UODO on the issue, announced the development and vowed to keep pressing the matter.
