Scientists make cookies from upcycled plastic and farm waste for space missions
A team of researchers engineered yeast to convert broken-down plastic and agricultural waste into edible sweet snacks called µBites. The food could prove useful during deep-space missions or in disaster zones where conventional food supplies are unavailable. Some critics, however, argue that the technology is currently impractical for real-world use.
