New spatial planning rules replace old municipal studies across Poland from Sept. 1

From September 1, Poland's existing municipal spatial-planning studies lose their legal force and are replaced by binding general municipal plans. Unlike the old studies, these new plans have the status of local law. Not all municipalities have adopted the new plans in time, raising fears of paralysis in the issuing of building permits.
