"Corn bombers" return — metal traps found in maize fields ahead of harvest

Ahead of the maize harvest, metal objects — bolts, wires, rods — and stones have again been planted in cornfields in the Gostyń area of Poland, risking costly machine damage and danger to operators. The so-called "corn bomber" problem recurs annually. Police in Gostyń are urging farmers to report incidents and warning that perpetrators face criminal penalties.
