Poland lacks a strategy for spending billions from CO2 emission allowances

Analysts at Forum Energii warn that Poland lacks a clear strategy for managing revenues from CO2 emission allowance sales, and that citizens receive little transparent information about how the money is used. They recommend creating a dedicated fund to organise spending and accelerate investment in the energy transition. The absence of such a framework is said to be hampering efficient use of the funds.
