Plasma technology could slash carbon emissions from cement production
Researchers have developed a method using plasma discharges to dramatically cut carbon dioxide emissions from the cement industry, one of the most carbon-intensive sectors globally. Cement is the world's most widely used construction material, and its production accounts for a significant share of global CO₂ emissions. The new technology could substantially reduce that carbon footprint without halting production.
