MEP Nagyová convicted of EU subsidy fraud in €2m Agrofert case

Prague's High Court upheld a conviction against Czech MEP Jana Nagyová, an ally of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, for EU subsidy fraud in a €2 million case linked to the Agrofert agricultural conglomerate. She was sentenced to a suspended three-year prison term, five years' probation and a fine of around €20,000. Nagyová denies the charges and plans to appeal to the Czech Supreme Court.
