55 Polish Volhynia massacre victims reburied in Ukraine at binational ceremony

The remains of 55 Poles massacred by Ukrainian nationalists during World War Two — around half of them children — have been reburied at a ceremony attended by political and religious figures from both Poland and Ukraine. The victims were exhumed this summer after Ukraine lifted a moratorium on searches for the remains of tens of thousands of Volhynia massacre victims. Many of the bones bear signs of violent death.
