Zwierzyniec's Echo Ponds nearly dry — famous bathing spot reduced to a puddle

Echo Ponds in Zwierzyniec in the Roztocze region, once a popular tourist bathing spot, have nearly completely dried out. New photos show the exposed muddy bottom with herons standing where water used to be. The Roztocze National Park warned at the start of summer that the ponds could dry up entirely before summer's end — and that scenario is now playing out.
