11-year-old girl drowns in Crete hotel pool amid witnesses' claims of neglect
An 11-year-old Polish girl died after being pulled from a hotel swimming pool in Chania, Crete. Witness Łukasz told polsatnews.pl that hotel staff failed to respond adequately — the lifeguard was reportedly frozen in shock and neither a defibrillator nor a manual resuscitator bag was available. He and his wife performed CPR on the child themselves. Witnesses described the incident as a case of gross negligence.
