Smartphone ban in Polish schools takes effect — teachers pushed for the law

A statutory ban on smartphones in Polish schools has come into force. Deputy Education Minister Katarzyna Lubnauer said schools and teachers themselves lobbied for the ban to be enshrined in law, so they could avoid arguments with parents who challenged in-school restrictions. The new law is intended to remove ambiguity over the rules.
