Cluster probes Samba and Tango to re-enter Earth's atmosphere on 31 August and 1 September

The last two probes of the European Cluster mission — Samba and Tango — will end their operational lives by re-entering Earth's atmosphere on 31 August and 1 September over the southern Pacific Ocean. For researchers, it is a rare opportunity to observe in real time how satellites break apart during re-entry and to compare the process with laboratory models.
