Philosopher: Solidarity was the 20th century's last total social movement — 46th anniversary

On the 46th anniversary of the August Agreements that ended the Gdańsk Shipyard strike, philosopher and political scientist Jacek Kołtan told PAP that Solidarity was the last total social movement of the 20th century — one capable of mobilising and representing all social groups simultaneously. It united workers, the Catholic Church and left-wing circles in a single front.
