NHS England to offer free cholesterol finger-prick tests at pharmacies for ages 40–84
NHS England is launching a national rollout of free finger-prick cholesterol blood tests at pharmacies for people aged 40 to 84. The seven-minute tests are designed to identify individuals at risk of heart attack or stroke at an earlier stage. The programme aims to cut heart disease and stroke deaths by a quarter within the next decade.
