Sosnowiec mayor: demographic decline is reaching primary schools

Arkadiusz Chęciński, mayor of Sosnowiec and vice-president of the Union of Polish Cities, warns that demographic decline is now reaching primary schools and kindergartens. The city is trying to avoid closing any institutions, though exceptions may be made where kindergartens operate in close proximity. Chęciński stresses that municipalities are doing what they can to maintain their school networks.
