Haakon VIII pledges his own path in first speech as Norway's king

Norway's new King Haakon VIII delivered his first address to the nation following the death of his father, Harald V. He paid an emotional tribute to his "dear father" and pledged to uphold Norway's democracy, unity and inclusive values. The new monarch also vowed to follow his own path as sovereign.
