500-member WhatsApp network laundered hundreds of millions for criminals
A WhatsApp group of more than 500 members was used to coordinate the transfer of hundreds of millions of euros worldwide, European journalists have revealed. The money flowed to criminal organisations, human traffickers and Islamic State fighters in Syria. The network facilitated money laundering, terrorism financing and people smuggling.
