Polish bishops introduce lay catechist ministry from September 2026
Poland's Episcopal Conference has issued a decree establishing the permanent ministry of lay catechist, which will take effect on 18 September 2026. The rules define who may take up the role, what formation candidates must undergo, and what parish tasks they will be entrusted with.
