Some apparent signs of quantum gravity may be an illusion, study finds
A new theoretical framework suggests that some experiments apparently showing gravity behaving quantum mechanically may have a far more ordinary explanation. Researchers showed that scenarios involving a supposed "superposition of gravity" can be described equally well as quantum particles moving through classical spacetime. The findings complicate ongoing efforts to unite quantum mechanics with Einstein's theory of general relativity.
