Ancient Egyptian princesses practised archery — mummies' bones reveal the proof

Researchers studying royal mummies from Dahshur found bone changes in ancient Egyptian princesses consistent with years of archery and other strenuous physical activity. Several women also showed signs of healed injuries, suggesting they may have participated in hunting or military training. The findings indicate that weapons buried with them were likely more than ceremonial objects.
