US abortion bans push patients to seek care later in pregnancy

As abortion bans and restrictions spread across US states, providers report patients arriving later in pregnancy and in worse health. Access to insurance coverage for abortion is also declining. A handful of haven states have seen a significant rise in later abortion procedures over the past decade as they absorb patients from restricted states.
