Kuchta: Polish handball is between two waves — waiting for the next tsunami

Handball legend Zygfryd Kuchta assessed the state of Polish handball, saying the sport is currently caught "between one tsunami and the next." Poland's last strong result came ten years ago when the team came close to an Olympic medal; since then the national side has struggled to advance from the group stage at major tournaments. Kuchta acknowledged efforts within the sport to recapture past successes from the 20th and 21st centuries.
