Majority of Lithuanians support mandatory military service

A new Lithuanian public opinion poll shows a clear majority in favour of mandatory military conscription. Lithuanian authorities had previously stated they were preparing to introduce such a system. The survey confirms broad public support for strengthening the country's defence capacity.
