Passenger ship with about 270 people aboard sinks off Northern Cyprus
A passenger ship sank shortly after departing from the port of Kyrenia in Turkish-controlled Northern Cyprus, with around 270 people on board. A rescue operation is under way. Local authorities describe the situation as "serious" and it is not yet known how many survivors there are.
