Federal judge blocks Trump bid to restrict mail-in voting before midterms

Federal district Judge Indira Talwani issued an order on Thursday temporarily blocking a Trump administration effort seen as designed to undermine mail-in voting ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. Talwani had previously blocked a related executive order Trump signed in March. The court found the administration's actions appeared to be a deliberate attempt to sabotage the electoral process.
