Polish Supreme Administrative Court upholds fine for housing co-op that leaked member's ID number to journalist

Poland's Supreme Administrative Court upheld a fine imposed by the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) on a housing cooperative that failed to report a personal data breach or notify the affected member. The case, dating back three years, involved a journalist obtaining a co-op member's national ID number (PESEL). The court ruled the cooperative had not fulfilled its legal obligations under data protection law.
