Russian tourist caught smuggling 32 marine iguanas from Galápagos in her luggage

Ecuadorian police discovered 32 marine iguanas in the luggage of a Russian tourist at an airport in Ecuador. The reptiles are found exclusively in the Galápagos Islands and are a protected species. The seized animals were found to be weak and dehydrated.
