Poland's "Lex Developer" Law Expires, Ending Zoning Exemptions for Housing

Poland's "lex developer" special act expires Tuesday, ending the provision that allowed housing construction on land not designated for it in local zoning plans. The Polish Association of Developer Companies says the law underpinned decisions to build 100,000 homes. New residential projects will now have to comply with standard planning procedures.
