Poland joins developed markets — benefits gradual but larger capital pool awaits
Economists at the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) say the benefits of Poland's upgrade to developed-market status will materialise gradually. While Poland's weight in the developed-markets index will be smaller than in the emerging-markets index, the overall pool of capital tracking that index is far larger, meaning more investment could flow into the country over time.
