Polish education ministry rejects bishops' call to restore religion classes' status

Poland's Ministry of Education has confirmed it will not amend its regulation on religious education in public schools and pre-schools, spokesperson Ewelina Gorczyca told PAP. The decision comes in response to a plea from Catholic bishops to restore religion classes to their former status in schools.
