Airport malaria in Frankfurt: stowaway mosquito kills two workers

In early July, six malaria cases were detected among Frankfurt Airport workers, none of whom had travelled abroad. Authorities determined the source of infection was a mosquito brought in on an incoming aircraft. Two of the six infected people died.
