Renegade soldiers attack presidential palace and airport in Niger

Renegade Nigerien soldiers attacked multiple key sites in the capital, including the presidential palace and a major air base, according to the country's defence ministry. The attacked air base is known to host Russian mercenary forces. The assault has shaken the country's ruling military junta.
