The trailer for Amazon MGM Studios' "Ali G: Who Iz I?", featuring Sacha Baron Cohen reviving his old character, has sparked a boycott campaign over accusations of racist stereotypes. Watchdog site NewsCord coordinated an email campaign sending more than 40,000 messages urging theatres to drop the film. The backlash marks one of the most contentious pre-release controversies for the studio recently.
