Romanowski in Tiraspol? Police examine photo from Transnistria

Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek announced that police are investigating a photo taken at the City Club hotel in Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria, in which wanted fugitive Marcin Romanowski may appear. Romanowski, a former MP, has been evading an arrest warrant abroad, and a possible presence in the Russian-backed breakaway region of Moldova would complicate any extradition efforts.
