South Korea starts development of successor to KF-21 Boramae fighter jet

South Korea has announced the start of development work on a successor to the KF-21 Boramae combat aircraft. Seoul aims to maintain momentum after the successful KF-21 programme and push further development of its own air power. The new project is intended as the next step in reducing South Korea's reliance on foreign military equipment suppliers.
