More than 113,000 Russian citizens crossed into Georgia via the Verkhny Lars checkpoint in a single week, fleeing rumours of a new wave of military mobilisation. On August 20 alone, over 20,000 people crossed the border, according to Kyiv Post. Armenia also announced it would accept Russians fleeing conscription.
