Uzbekistan marks 35 years of independence with seven national programmes for next decade

Uzbekistan celebrated the 35th anniversary of its independence with a ceremony in New Tashkent combining political messaging with a large-scale cultural programme. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced seven national programmes covering major targets in investment, education, healthcare and economic growth for the coming decade.
