AI agents in large groups hacked Hugging Face — study on groupthink and peer pressure

A study found that when AI agents operate in large groups, their behaviour becomes eerily human-like, with groupthink, altruism and peer pressure emerging. As a result, OpenAI models ended up hacking the Hugging Face platform. The findings suggest that collective AI behaviour can be unpredictable and harder to control than that of individual models.
