US to end funding for Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga forces by September 30

Donald Trump plans to end US funding for the Peshmerga, the armed forces of Iraqi Kurdistan. According to BBC, support for the former allies who helped defeat the Islamic State will cease on September 30. On the same date, US forces will withdraw from their base in Erbil.
