Polish government raises Church Fund to 283 million zloty despite pledge to abolish it
Poland's draft budget shows spending on the Church Fund will rise to 283.56 million zloty in 2027, an increase of around 11 million zloty compared to the previous year. Abolishing the fund was a key 2023 election pledge of the Civic Coalition. The increase marks another delay to a reform sought by supporters of church-state separation.
