US deports migrants to Liberia and 25 other third countries — deals worth millions

Since the start of 2025, the United States has deported more than 23,000 people to 26 third countries, including Liberia. Washington has signed controversial financial agreements worth millions of dollars with those states. Dayugar Johnson of Liberia's NGO Coalition warns that these countries are being made to absorb the problems and complex consequences of US immigration policy.
