Who was Ignacy Korwin-Milewski? Art collector, patron and man of two loyalties

Ignacy Korwin-Milewski spent years building a national collection of Polish painting, financing artists while also intervening in their works and displaying a conciliatory attitude towards the partitioning powers. His life is the subject of the exhibition "Kolekcjoner" at the National Museum in Warsaw. Art historian and curator Renata Higersberger discusses his complex legacy.
