MyDr breach: PESEL numbers and medical data of 19 million Poles exposed to fraudsters

The database stolen from MyDr contains data on nearly 19 million Polish citizens, including PESEL identity numbers and sensitive medical records. While bank accounts and cards can be reissued, health data cannot be changed, giving criminals a lasting tool for fraud and blackmail. Experts recommend freezing PESEL numbers, enabling two-factor authentication and using BIK alerts to reduce the risk.
