Finance Ministry: fuel price programme and presidential veto cost 3.4 bn zloty in VAT revenue

Poland's Finance Ministry has disclosed that several factors are weighing on VAT revenues in 2026. The "Ceny Paliwa Niżej" (Lower Fuel Prices) programme alone has been estimated to cost 3.4 billion zloty in lost VAT income. The figures appear in the explanatory notes to the draft 2027 state budget.
